The Annual Sports Meet is one of the most awaited events on the campus. The students participate with great zeal and excitement. A notable sportsperson is invited as the chief guest to preside over the function. Students are divided into various houses and are allocated team captains and sports faculty coordinators. On the sports day, flags are pitched on the college campus. All the students participate in different activities and teachers guide them in organizing various events.
In the department of Pharmacy Practice the students gain skills necessary to practice pharmaceutical care upon entering the profession regardless of the practice environment with a goal to improve an individual patient's quality of life through achievement of definite, medication-related therapeutic outcomes.

The field of Pharmacology focuses upon the foundation and approaches to systems of physiology, biochemistry, molecular pharmacology, genetics and neuroscience. A primary objective of Pharmacology is to investigate fundamental aspects of molecular bio-regulatory mechanism of the cell, for the purpose of understanding how drugs act and in order to develop new drugs for treatment of disease.
The Department of Pharmaceutical chemistry is one of the four academic units in the College of Pharmacy. Its teaching mission include instruction in Pharmaceutical Chemistry to the students of D. Pharma. The Department's research enterprise is diverse, with both basic science and clinical interests in medicinal chemistry, natural products, drug discovery, structural biology, molecular biology, analytical chemistry, computational chemistry, target bioassays, chemical toxicology, and others.
Department of Pharmaceutics: Pharmaceutics is concerned with the strategies by which biologically active compounds are presented to the body so as to elicit an optimal response. Included are the design, formulation, preparation and testing of drug-delivery systems. There are two major areas of emphasis found in the current research in the Department of Pharmaceutics at DDR College of Pharmacy.
